A poem by Leighton Ainsworth

Some stand at the edge of destiny
Only to settle for mediocrity
Dreaming of what they could be
But never having the faith to see
They dream of great things of going far
But settle with where they are
Never to go forward or to step out,
There faith is soon replaced with doubt
They dream of accomplishing so much
Yet is remains forever out of touch
There doubt causes them to stray
Whilst others pass them along the way
Never entering into the promised land
For on the edge they chose to stand
So let me ask you this question my friend,
Do you dream of a better end
For a dream will only get you so far
But having a vision will effect who you are
Don’t just dream of what lies ahead
But be moved by a vision instead
For a dreamer is never awake
Whilst vision determines the decions you make.
Dreamers sleep so there eyes never see
The vision God has and there destiny
Dreamers never act but always want more
Whilst vision sees what God has in store
So stop dearming it’s time to arise
For only with vision can God you open your eyes.
